GRIZ-RULE said:Lotta wishful thinking goin on girls! The fact is, there is a reason we are ranked #2 in the nation. It's been a while since we have had a team as stacked as this one. In fact, its a pretty safe bet that not only will the GRIZ win this game, but we will also be singing "Up With Montana" in the middle of that silly red carpet on top of the GRIZ coin. But at least the carpet will match your collective pissed off faces.
The carpet is a cute gimmic..but seriously, "get cred..not red".
GRIZ 38
eastern 17
I'll give you props though..you rolled out the red carpet for the correct team/fans.

Highly Overated in the BSC!! Am I right or am I right? Oh btw...love the new marketing ploy...red looks good on you guys...
The only wishful thinking is that a Jizzly team with only 10 returning starters, weak ass O-line, new head coach, and new offensive and defensive schemes, will do as well as you predict. Maybe while you hicks are over here you can get an education in addition to that loss.

I guess the has been played according to .. whom? :arrow:screamin eagles?

You seem unwilling to give us even the smallest inkling of respect, and it just comes across as incredibly ignorant, arrogant, and class-less.
Hell, I'm not even saying we'll win the game. But to come on here and say that we're just going to roll over for you - that you're just going to come in and smoke us on our own field, is just silly. The game will be a close one, they generally always have been in the past, and there's no reason to think otherwise this year.
If you beat us, I'll be the first to congratulate you - will you do the same if we win? I doubt it, and that's the difference.
But hey, believe what you want. I guess we'll find out September 18th, huh?

bpcats said:It was good that EWU played Nevada even if you struggled getting out of the gate and had first game mistakes. If your QB and receivers had been firing on all cylinders like they normally do it would have been a heck of a game.
I would have Mitchell and the WR put in a lot of extra time between now and the Griz game and try to get on the same page or it will be a long day for the Eagles. You obviously have the talent on the team to beat the Griz but it was apparent you lost some of the offensive rhythm that makes your team very tough to defend.
Will be a heck of a game once the Eagle offense (besides Jones) gets untracked.

I do find it funny that this thread was started months and months in advance of the 3rd game of the season.
Oh, and I really wish you didn't think it was necessary to use a gawd-awful field to be relevant.
7. Given this year's Griz D line, it'll hide most of EWU's blood.EWURanger said:1.) It provides the best playing surface possible for our football team.
2.) It has sparked national media attention in the New York times, ESPN, USAA, amongst others. Also can't tell you how many compliments from schools all over the country saying how great it looks and how they wish their school would have done it. How could that be a bad thing?
3.) It gives the university something unique that people will remember.
4.) It will undoubtedly help with recruiting, because kids will like it. If you don't believe that you're just kidding yourself.
5.) It will spark further improvements and renovations to a facility that is in drastic need of them. A new score/replay board should be going in next year and there are other things in the works.
6.) It has created a lot of excitement in the local area and the university. People like it.
