Hard to tell which team wanted to win less that the other in the last seven to eight minutes. I guess that goes to us, who after the missed free throw at the end elected not to just dribble the clock out, but to just stand there with the basketball. Lack of situational awareness goes on the coaching staff.

Some thoughts:

- Is it me or is Nuhu’s top of the key jumpers getting better game over game? He hit a couple in a row today and it’d be nice to see him look to pop that shot as soon as he gets the ball. It’s like he hesitates and realizes how open he is before he takes the shot. If teams see that they need to stick on him, some other opportunities may open up.

- Boo Boo was hit pretty hard in the face on our last offensive play. :-\ We ended up getting the ball to Hauser, which normally is the opportunity that we want, but he was ice cold today.

- Golder was awesome today with his double/double.

- I think EWU made more layups and dunks during the second half than they did in both pregame and halftime warm ups.

- Not sure how Boo Boo got that shot to go in where he tossed it over his back on that three point play, but that sure was something.

- 1-3. Not a good start to conference play.

If I may add one more thought. We had 30 points with 5 minutes left in the first half. We had 32 at halftime and still had 32 three minutes in to the second half. Two points in 8 minutes is not going to win us many ball games.
