ESPN and North Carolina could call you the Fightin' Butterflies for all you should care - Weber State beat one of college basketball's bluebloods that day. I remember people in the bar asking where Weber State was from after jumping up and down and yelling for 15 minutes.

WOW!!!! I think whoever wrote that article needs to do better research before they ever write and article again. Though I am surprised that the upset in 1994-95 against Michigan State doesn't get the recognition that is should. I believe that was the game that sent the great Judd Heathcoat (sp) into retirement.
 
Met a Duke fan in San Fran, he looked at my Weber State shirt and told me he will always be a fan of Weber State for what they did to the tarheels in 99.
 
Ya I agree the caption was pretty stupid...Lumberjacks indeed :roll: But that video does bring a tear to my eye. Oh what I would have given to be there that day! Keeping my fingers crossed for a birth next year and a chance at an upset.

Its not entirely si.com's ignorance as the link was to the complex.com website. I read on here somewhere earlier about a stupid blurp that espn had on weber just before one of the Big Sky playoff games that everyone should be watching out for Damian Lillards ball play in the toury :roll: I agree with Wildcat, journalism is d.e.d. I think most of these lame reporters/writers just do a google search and half ass the rest of it.
