So PSU will be playing on a soccer field instead of a baseball field? I guess that’s a step in the right direction. With a new coach and a plan for facility updates, I wonder if they will be able to make a quick rebound.

The article said the baseball dugouts are being moved and the field shifted. I wonder where the new dugouts will go and how this will effect the development for the Padres minor leaguers (my primary concern when reading this article).

On the flip side I can only imagine this causing the lease for PSU to increase when it is time to renew (whenever that is).

I don't think the bid has even been awarded yet, if you goto Field Turf's website, they have a section for upcoming installs and Sac State is not listed. They have many HS's and JC's, but no Sac State.

Unless they are planning on going with a competing brand.
