Facilities

OK, now that I'm back to real life after the NW swing and the holidays, let me hit on some of the items related to playing at the BEC:

1. Larimer County, not Weld, would likely pose a problem
2. The Eagles have full rein over the building. Everything else falls in line behind that.
3. Concessions/parking would go to Global Spectrum, who manages the BEC.
4. The school would likely have to pay to use the building.

Facility-wise, its good, but I don't think UNC can gain much out of it, because of the roadblocks, both politically and financially. Blofeld, you mentioned paying someone a guarantee; that's not feasible while the athletic department is still dealing with a deficit, and even when it begins to be in the black, I don't know that there's enough to bring someone in.

Now, if the school could team with CSU to stage a four-team event--like Oklahoma City's All-College Tournament--that would be something that might work. I also wonder about what UNC will do when (and I mean that) it hosts the Big Sky Tournament in the future. TV handles both the semis and finals, and BH isn't exactly an easy place to work in for them.
