Seriously, if they can't draw better than 7k then maybe there is no hope for ever drawing good crowds.

Get a couple of winning seasons under our belt and this is no longer an issue.
Sadly, I think it would take a lot more than a couple winning seasons.

Season, Record, Avg Home Attendance

2008, 10-4, 6910
2009, 7-5, 6500
2010, 6-5, 6913
2011, 5-6, 8487
2012, 2-9, 7416
2013, 2-10 5756

We would need like 10 straight years of winning seasons, a few Big Sky championships and a few deep runs in the playoffs to start averaging over 10K a game

...and would it change then? How much of the 10K would be freebies, including students? It's unbelievable how many people are never at a WSU FB game. If Weber could generate enough excitement to get 20% of the student body out for free (ONLY 2 of every 10!), there's 5K in the stands right there. There are often free tix available, and the GA season tix are very reasonably priced. I don't know why that shouldn't generate another 5K consistently. Throw in 2K worth of Wildcats Club season tix holders and other "high rollers" and it really seems within the realm of possibility for Weber to average 12K, but it's a shame it doesn't happen and seemingly never will.

Winning helps everything. Weber's problem is they dont consistanly win, Even McBride's teams got worse every year after 2008. Which is why we would need to have a lot of winning seasons in the near future and playoff appearances and playoff wins. Give the people a reason to be excited about coming to a Weber State game.
