FBS Conference Realignment

Wow, BYU is going independent in football and to the WCC for all other sports.

I know this is sort of a football thread, but the WCC sure got better in men's hoops by adding a strong BYU program.

Wow. I thought they would be joining the WAC for other sports. The WCC is a Catholic conference. Don't Mormons despise Catholics? :lol:

The other thought is: Will Seattle U now join the WCC to make it an even 10 school conference?

I think the feelings between Mormons and Catholics is mutual in dislike.

I think Seattle U would be a perfect fit for the WCC.

It is rather an odd match when one looks at enrollment. Even though BYU is private, the enrollment is 33K compared to 3K to 8K for the other schools.

BYU and ESPN agree to an eight year TV deal. Looks like BYU is willing to look past the odd match with the WCC for a few dollars.
