FBS Independent bound

Times have improved for FBS Indy right now.

While both PAC / MWC are not full sized conferences yet we have plenty of good programs to try and schedule with,

CUSA / AAC are also conf that we could get 1-2 games per season with in home / away schedule.

Like I suggested having home game ticket sales / SAC region TV deal will be good for us!

UCD stays on schedule. Cal Poly should be our other FCS. Rest FBS and get few good names on schedule. Stanford / UCLA / UNLV / UTEP / Wash St. etc.

Until we play tough and win some they will not take us seriously and or worthy, need to use that nil money and make sure Coach Marion has the players to compete.

I can’t wait!!!!
What NIL money? It was contingent on PAC membership. Nothing publically stated otherwise.

Not going to find it but in an interview (Sac12 Wood I think) there was a statement that some of the pledges were FBS supportive regardless of landing spot. I personally think the majority of the pledges are more contingent on how the economy holds up vs being Indy and not Pac FBS members.

Yeah, if they pull a Suck State this will blow up in everyone's face.
Gotta get attendance regularly up to 20k.

Color me skeptical, history doesn't lie.
Nah, we were pulling close to 15k last season. If we are competitive and with more noteworthy names in town in a new stadium, we'll have no problem getting folks to show up. You should know better.

So The Big Mountain podcast is our news source for now. I'm ok with it. Seems like local reporters missed and opportunity here.

But on the topic of FBS independence, it appears that the University thinks they can make a net benefit greater than the $100k the Big Sky was paying them through that media deal. I don't doubt that and when you look at it through that lense, it doesn't seem so risky.
