FCS National Championship vs. NDSU: Game Day Thread

Defense is struggling. I can’t help but wonder how this game would play out if we had even half of the 8 starters missing on D. Or Gubrud.

Man, I can’t stand NDSU but you’ve gotta hand it to them. What they’ve been able to accomplis without any dropoff from year to year is really remarkable.
 
I’ll give the Bison credit for this drive, but not much else in this game. We just couldn’t afford to turn the ball over 3 times. The refs screwed our momentum in the 1st half. Bummer deal.
 
We played damn hard today, the effort was unquestionable. This team has heart and makes us all proud.

Unfortunately, to beat a great team you have to play your best and we didn’t do that today.

Even though this team has 27 seniors, we played without 9 starters so there is a lot of game in this crew and in the future.

Agreed. A lot of Bison fans will tell you their team was unbeatable, but that's simply not true. Eastern could have pulled it off, but made too many mistakes. When you've been there 7 of the last 8 years it's easier to not make those kinds of mistakes like NDSU didn't and that was the difference. Still EWU played well and I am super proud of this team!
