FCS on ESPN-U

It trips me out that garbage FCS teams like Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Alabama State get ESPN airtime on one of their networks, and do it almost weekly, but you almost never see the "power" FCS conferences get ESPN airtime. I mean, really, it would be like NBC and all of their subsidieries covering the Sun Belt and ONLY the Sun Blet, with maybe a few WAC games throw in.

I mean, c'mon, the SWAC and MEAC are two conferences that ESPN seems to serve up as legit FCS football during the season are pretty much the Sun Belt and WAC of the FCS. The MEAC had had a few successful teams periodically, including Florida A&M who won the show in 78, but really, you'd be hardpressed to find more than 5 or 6 total wins in the playoffs for both conferences combined.

I don't understand why ESPN doesn't do a premier FCS GOTW once a week. I mean there's enough ESPN channels to put it on even if it's ESPN U or ESPN Classic. I understand the market probably isn't in favor of it and that's ESPN's bottom line, but FCS football is a good product and I'm sure would drawn more of an audience over Minnesota vs some other garbage team out of the B1G. Could you imagine having ESPN come to Cheney next weekend for the Griz game? I understand root will be broadcasting that game and that's a step in the right direction for more coverage of the big sky, but I wish ESPN would get behind FCS more.

I know I would have watched Montana V. App State over whatever garbage games were on at that same time.
