SDST is faster than I thought. Mellot has a lot on his hands, their OL and RB's need to step it up. Their D keeps playing middle zone and the SDST QB is eating that for lunch. That RB Strong is fabulous. Waiting for SDST to look tired from all that travel.... :shock:

Mellot showing some touch in the passing game too... Hope he stays focused and protects the ball. SDST is bringing it on defense today. MSU needs to tackle better or one TO could decide this thing.
I wish Eastern would’ve used Barriere more like Montana State uses Mellott. Eastern always seemed to overthink it; sometime just put the ball in the QBs hands and tell him to get upfield. I guarantee we wouldn’t have struggled offensively in the few games we did had we just defaulted to running the offense on Barriere’s feet.

not related but know some are interested in current affairs of athletics at school...looks like ex soccer coach Chad Bodnar has filed a claim...same law firm as ex basketball coach Wendy Schuller is going thru.

I don't know how much merit Schuller's claim has... her program was pretty damn bad. But Bodnar seems to have a legit claim. No one can say his performance wasn't stellar. He was by far the best soccer coach Eastern ever had, and the program took a big step back when he left. Darn near the exact same line-up this year, and the results were much worse under the new coach.
I think a lot of this falls on our AD. We've hemorrhaged coaches from every program that was winning. If we were seeing positive changes, you could look past it. But it's been status quo at best when it comes to all our shortcomings (facilities, budgets, etc) and the losing programs are still losing. The winning programs haven't taken any steps forward. It feels like we're stuck in neutral while our peer institutions are investing. At some point, you've got to take your own step forward, because we can't stay in the same place while everyone else is moving forward.
