Just a reminder to tune into ESPNU at 9:30 this morning!!!

The most common prediction I’ve seen is us at the 4 seed hosting the winner of Nicholls State and University of San Diego on Saturday, Dec. 7th.

Also, in the final stats poll, Hornets finish ranked #3 in the country. We are behind JMU and NDSU, just like everyone predicted in August.

#4 seed, home field through the quarterfinals. Same side of the bracket as #1 NDSU. We're hosting the winner of Furman-Austin Peay.

I actually really like that draw. I think we matchup better against FU and AP than we do against a school like UND.

Ugh, just looked at airfares as far as coming down from Washington for the game on the 7th. Being the holiday travel season, they've seriously spiked! So decent chance this was my last trip down this season. Thankfully the games will be on the ESPN networks so I can watch at home. In the event we get all the way to Frisco though, I WILL get there!

It's been a great ride, I'm not ready for it to end yet...STINGERS UP!!!

Hornets host on Dec 7th with kickoff slated for 6 PM. I'm treating this as a once in a lifetime thing so I'll be there. The last playoff game was over 30 years ago. This has been one fun ride, I hope it can go on for another month+.

I was at the last two playoff games and it has been a lifetime!
Hopefully this highwater mark in Hornet athletics mints some new rabid lifelong Hornet fans!

Lots of winning left to do, but it would be ironic to meet the Bison again in the playoffs!

Speaking of playoffs, the know-it-alls at ESPN Missoula made this special episode of FCS Speculators for the National Seeds. They have a pretty good interview with the Bee's Joe Davidson about Sac State football heading into the playoffs. People should check it out!

Great to see Sacramento State getting lots of attention. this is what can and has happened when a college has championship caliber football. Know everyone on this board already knows that.

Not sure what it was but I listened to some sort of pod cast from Montana after the big win at Hornet Stadium over Montana. The hosts absolutely all huge compliments towards Sac State and thought that the Griz did well but that Sac State was for real. Very cool to hear those sincere compliments. Also nice to see no comments on the Griz fan board about Sac State being a school in the Big Sky that is not worthy of a place in the BSC

Remember 1988 well GCM. That was a magical year that happened after I graduated 7 years earlier.
I came to Sac State in 1978 as a JUCO transfer. It was the same year Coach Mattos became the head football coach. Was a big mentor for me. He always had the time to talk. And we talked a lot about Sac State beating UC Davis. He reminded me (lol) that the Aggie fight song was worth 7 points. He was right. UCD Davis was king in the iv II years.

Enjoy this board always but this year more than ever. So many posts. So many comments. So many observations. So many stories.

Keep it up and anxious to see more people join the board and post. u will be welcomed

For those who have been to games in the last year or so:

Is the West Side still the Home Side? I have to know so I don't end up on Furman's sideline. That would be bad....

Looking forward to the day when Hornet fans fill up both sides of Hornet Stadium.

I could be wrong but there is no home/visitor side designation.

That being said,. I assume that most Hornet fans sit on the west side.

I like sitting on either side of the stadium.

When I do sit on the east side I'm with plenty of Hornet fans who like me like to stretch out, enjoy the Sac State band (can hear them much better on the east side) hear the roar of the west side . An I can also hear the PA announcer better as well.

Love Hornet fans on both sides of the stadium cheering for their team at Hornet Stadium. \
