Interesting map of FCS programs on championshipsubdivision.com. Granted some of the western states don’t have much of a population density, it’s still amazing to see how many I-AA programs there are in the eastern half of the country. In particular, the NE states are loaded. Quite the contrast to the 4 spread throughout all of CA.
The site’s consolidation of stadiums from select conferences is interesting to thumb through too. Much more useful than the long stadium thread on AGS. Some fairly small ones, but not too many with “brown rings” around their fields like Sac (albeit a NCAA Championship / Olympic Trial quality brown ring.)
