20 teams and a venue change.

I like the expansion to 20 teams, since there are usually a couple teams that are pretty good that don't make it. I would have liked to see a venue more out west, but since FCS is so dominated in the east, it didn't really surprise me.

I was in Frisco visiting friends over the Valentine's Day/Chinese New Year weekend. It is not that bad a place. It is far enough from Dallas that you don't have the big city congestion and plenty of hotel space for visitors. DFW is a major air hub served by major airlines unlike Chatty which is served mostly by commuter airlines. The weather in Texas during is January is usually milder than SE Tennessee. This January was shirtsleeve weather in San Antonio and jacket weather in Dallas, until this current cold snap. And most Texans would be insulted to be considered as easterners by you guys on the left coast. At one time Texas was the epitome of the old west, but it is true we aren't true westerners now we are one thing better than an Easterner..... We're Texans and hospitality is our forte.... Come on down for the FCS game, we'll treat you like family, make you feel home and we'll always say at the end.... Y'all come back now, ya'hear.

Glad to see the Dallas area as the choice for the Championship Game. And in a soccer stadium to boot! The game has to be in the South and I'd rather be in Texas than Tennessee.

Texas is Southwestern, both Southern and Western in culture. The June Jones in Dallas factor may also prove inspirationally helpful. And, of course, let's not forget ^Casey^ and Texas hospitality with real barbecue [not "outdoor grilling"].

This new location should prove inspirational to PSU and, of course, all the Texas schools. Montana will probably begin to feel more like Peggy Hil (her state being Montana) in contrast to Hank Hill's Texas, a much bigger state. Texas is a full New Mexico bigger than Montana.

Let's go, Vikings!

I was glad to see this game get moved. I just feel like it is really unfair for West Coast teams to have to travel all the way to Tennessee every year. Texas certainly feels like a more neutral location.

I like the Texas location. Seems to me to be a fair location located more towards the middle of the country. DFW will be a direct flight from most points in the US. (Except Missoula.) But instead of Frisco, how about the Cotton Bowl?!
