Me personally I'd say O-Line would be top priority

I agree 100%, but then again, that to me is the most important position on the field. From what I can remember missionary wise, Weber should be adding a few more lineman from past classes. Lets just hope they decide to come back to Weber. Both were pretty big recruits.

2012:
Duncan Farnsworth: John L. didn't do much for the program, but all of the OL he recruited have been good players. Joe Hawkins and Cameron Young. I'm thinking that Duncan Farnsworth will be much of the same. I heard that he was originally a Mac recruit and that John L. liked him and kept him. So, hopefully, he decides to return to Weber after his mission. He was 6-6 285.

2013:
Feleti Mulitalo 6-3 330 OL that should be back from his mission sometime early next summer. He was one of Sears top recruits. Weber was one of the few schools encouraging him to serve a mission. Might be a big reason why he chose the Cats.

Other guys on missions scheduled to return next spring/summer:
Blake Barney QB
Kai Gonda Ath
Dalllin Hatch WR
Austin McChesney WR
Skyler Munson WR
Jonah Williams DE

Scheduled to return 2016:
Stetson Wood OL
Sione Tukolovatu DL/OL
Hyrum Tapusoa OL
Jared Scheiss DL
Tanner Sansom S
Lane Sale TE
Clay Moss LB
Cole McGinnis DL
A.J. Lolohea DE
Michael Key OL
Cameron Hansen LB
Brock Doman OL

Get a bunch of big and mature lineman back. Most of these guys will be playing till they are 25/26.

What do the Cats need the most? OL? WR? Safeties?

OL, Secondary, WR, in that order. I like the list of 2016 returnees but they really need some help in the meantime and how many of those returnees will need another year before they are ready to contribute?

Mark Anthony and Mark Gil Gacutan two OL from the Las Vegas area would be a huge get for the Cats. They want to play together and Weber is the only school that has so far extended an offer to both. They are 6-6 and 6-5 both around 315lbs. Big Boys!! I hope they both commit to Weber soon. Maybe they are waiting for a win by the Cats.

It is becoming glaringly obvious that the Cats will desperately need help in the secondary. Weber has some good players coming back in Dixon, Johnson, Burton, and Harrison, but will need some really good DB's. Also, Weber needs more depth in the LB ranks. On offense the Cats need more OL depth and a couple receivers, but they should be fine. Defense needs to become quicker and longer.

I'm sure the coaches have a better handle on it than I do, but it seemed to me like we are getting pushed around by stronger and better linemen on both sides of the ball. It may well be a recruiting issue, but it could be a conditioning issue as well. Next I would say that we leave far too many receivers open. Once again, I'm not sure if it is a recruiting issue or a coaching/conditioning issue. We seem to have good running backs, good receivers, and good quarterbacks. If we can solve the issues in the trenches and develop a little more speed and skill in the secondary, we could really take a leap forward. :coffee:

good quarterbacks.

Um, we have serviceable quarterbacks, we don't have good quarterbacks yet, and we definitely don't have great quarterbacks. They are Sophomores so they have a lot of time to develop.

Agree. Clark is not a great, or even a good, passer yet. Green is a better passer, but obviously lacks in other areas.

Really good QBs don't looks so good when their O line isn't protecting them, and giving them time to find open receivers. :twocents:

The Cats really need to build a defensive squad with speed. Speed is really lacking throughout the entire team especially the Linebackers. Defense lacked leadership and was definitely a factor that the Cats. :wall:
Its up to this NEW coaching staff to recognize potential talent and recruits this coming spring more team speed. From what I saw in 2014, the Cats speed is a serious issue on defense especially the secondary.
As far as the offense, the OL did well in the beginning however, injuries played a factor. The recieving core was young and lacks quality to get open. 2014 QB Green had little to look forward too. I believe Green did well and was composed. however he would go to the same guy over and over. This created a problems throughout the season.

Anyone have any details on the JUCO LT that was on an official visit this week?
