Yup

I just bought 2 tickets from a Portland State Alum. Stated the only reason he bought them was because he knew he could sell them to Kansas fans for 2x the price he paid.

Great, and I thought we sold out because of all the Viks fans that were excited to go.

I also read that the allotment was only 300 for PSU. I assume it was the same for Kansas?

Think the allotment was 350 per school. Creighton and the MVC (I think) are co-hosts so they got the first chance to suck up the tickets. I literally went and stood in the middle of Creighton's campus and yelled that I was "buying Midwest regional tickets" in Oct of '07 to get mine. (Ecstatic that I just happened to be up there for business and that KU did indeed get the Midwest.)

My understanding (again from paying attention in Boise):

EVERY school starts with an allotment of 350 tickets. If you run through that quickly, you can get another 200. I wonder why PSU doesn't get another 200.

Could be worse. Boise can't even sell 350. People can't afford to go to Birmingham, apparently.

BTW, IIRC, depending on the site (which means, for instance, avoiding sites where Kansas, North Carolina, Kentucky, and maybe a couple others are playing), it's rather easy to scalp your way in. Easier on Saturday or Sunday when half the teams are gone (even for the championship game, though you'll pay more for that privilege). Just saying... too bad I agreed to take my daughter to the Bay Area during spring break.
