Former West Salem, OR Utah St QB Cade Smith to Transfer

Posting this as I hadn't seen it in the forum to this point. 2nd team 6A All State QB at West Salem in 2015. Younger brother of QB Brett Smith from Wyoming and current CFL QB. Might be worth a look.

Don't we have enough QB's? From what I've read with Kraught and Alexander and the younger recruits, we seem to be fairly solid in that area. Do we really need another junior FBS transfer to come in?

BINGO!!!! The QB position at Portland State has gotten even more exciting. I thought Davis Alexander looked slightly better than Josh Kraght at the Spring game, but I like both and they are very similar style Qb's. Now with Smith in the mix the Vikings are set for the upcoming seasons in terms of the depth and quality!!

I'm glad to see it when Portland State gets an FBS dropdown. I'm hoping Coach Barnum told him that if he wanted to be the starting QB, he had to earn it, unless Barny decides to keep with his utility QB idea.
