@ Fresno GameDay Thread 31-34

Well, not a completely horrible half. The defense is disruptive enough to keep us in the game. If not for the fumble and the that failed 4th down conversion they wouldn't be up.

would love to see some 5 wide, not sure Visperas can make the read though... Eags have a couple of guys who can get up in Ulm and Greene. oh well. actually running the ball OK but that fresno DL is tough.

yep. the offense holding the ball has helped the D stay fresh too. expect Fresno to pound Eags first drive out of the half.

We were outgaining them up until those couple of plays just before half. The D’s actually not doing a half bad job. We just have nothing going on offense. I question whether we have the playmakers to break this game open.

The measure for me was if the team improved from week 1 to week 2. I'd say they have based on the sample. Poor coaching decision early on the 4th down and a TO are the difference but the effort is there and some plays are being made to keep drives alive or make stops on D. Can't complain about that. It just looks like the OL is average at best against superior talent in NDSU and Fresno but if they stay healthy should hold up a little better against BigSky right?

Expect that Fresno will come out and pound the ball to start the second half. Interested to see what kind of adjustments we make on defense. Kind of dissapointed in the line so far this year. This is the second game where Visperas is running for his life almost every snap.

Same observation. O line has been subpar against superior competition.

Seems like they’re only rushing 2-3 most of the time.
