Ft.Collins, Boulder ranked among worst football cities

At least according to this study. I love it because I can't stand the Buffs and absolutely hate the Rams. Both cities, especially Fort Collins can hardly call themselves D1 cities. Boulder, I can see more support. However, having lived in Fort Collins, it's not a city that willing to support a true division one school. And to think some Ram fans think they'll get an invite to the Big 12. Simply laughable. I know it's strange coming from a UNC fan and Greeley native, but at least I'll admit we're small-time. "WalletHub's methodology was based on the number of college and NFL teams a city has, those teams' winning percentage over the past three years, average single-game and minimum season ticket prices, stadium accessibility (city population divided by venue capacity), national and divisional championships won, sports bars per capita and social media followers of the teams. NFL cities were boosted by estimated franchise value, average home attendance and viewership."

That seems like a lot of random crap to compare to each other. Ticket prices and sports bars? If they just stuck with a city population/seating capacity/attendance, that would seem to make more sense to me.

Colorado is not a college football state, it sucks, but I've come to accept that... :(

I wouldn't go that far. We have three Division 1 FBS teams and all do fairly well in attendance. I imagine that combined, they get around 90,000 - 100,000 fans per home game. The fact is, Colorado has a lot of options for your entertainment dollar, unlike places like Tuscaloosa and Lincoln, Nebraska so it's always going to be an uphill battle.
