Game Thread: WSU @ Wyoming

A blocked PAT, failed 2 point conversion, and a terrible snap over the head of the punter was the difference today. Weber State offense looked really good. 531 yards of offense is exciting. Just a tough loss to swallow.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWD I feel like crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...gut in knots....headache....my whole body aches for this team. Well guys...time to rally them up and let them know we have their backs for the USU game!

I blame this loss on 1280 The Zone.... and the defense lol, but mostly the radio station.

Not the D, hell no. This was an FBS game. D did their job. Special Teams was very questionable.

When can we catch a break. We should have beat these guys 2 yrs ago then we should have beat CSU also and now 4th and 11 this year and they end up scoring. we beat them in most if not evey stat except the one that matters, the score. I didnt agree with the D that they ran the last series but that is not what lost the game. I agree, 1280 sucks and i blamed the loss on them. atleast 1430 didnt have random ass commerical breaks.

Ya, I was just venting my frustration on the whole radio broadcast issue. Although the prevent D always fills me with too much anxiety and heartbreak when the other team scores at the end. But I agree with you.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever been so upset while listening to a game. Not only did the game break our hearts, but the crappy radio just made it even worse. I'm still pissed off about it today. I feel almost hungover from last night. It's hard to be a WSU sports fan sometimes.... :ohno:

We all just need to get the larger perspective. It's probably in the contract that if we win we get less money. If its not in the contract, it's in the unwriten contract. Just consider what happened the last two times we beat a team on one of these contracts. Nevada, no contracts since then, and probably hard to get any contract. USU, we don't play for another 20 years. I think we saw the same thing happen in USU's game yesterday. Isn't it amazing how, relatively smart, coaches start making bonehead calls, with the lead, in the waning minutes of a game like that. I've seen it too often to believe this is all just coincidence. :twocents:

need some help on special teams, and we have to play to win, not play 'not to lose'. it's not that they converted on 4th and 12 yards with the clock ticking, we gave up the ball by not making a first down in that last series.

it's called ball control, give up the ball and give up control.........

Special teams??? Hoping you're not pointing at the kicker.....54 yds is not impossible but a lot to ask in 40 degrees..... Field goals of 35 and 40 were money. Shaun is going to have a great year!

Not the kicker, he was money, coverage and other things could have been better. we are lucky to have Shaun, he brings consistency to that aspect of our game. Now we need to prepare for Utah State...GO CATS

Shaun did good, but he should have taken the safety when the ball was snapped over his head. Hind sight is 20-20 though and if he had of kicked the ball instead of missing it we might be saying how great of a play he made.

There were errors in all facets of the game that need to be corrected. Reading the Standard this morning we only had 10 guys on the field when UW scored the winning touchdown. :wall:

We need to regroup, move on, and get ready for the Aggies.
