Game Threads or Chat?

Come next football season during Viking football games should we use game threads like last year or do a live chat(located at the bottom of the front page)?

Yeah that's why I'm running the poll, cause it is tuff to do both.

I really don't like seeing the play-by-play on the postings. I'd rather the postings just be the major points (end of qtr scores, game changing plays, etc). I don't want to read through the play-by-play after the game to see what people thought of the game. I watch or listen to them all, I don't need the postings to let me know what happened. Those that want to know what's going on in the game should just get onto a chat.

I voted for the chat long ago because I agree with DJ, I don't like the play-by-play if I'm listening. All the games are available to listen to on the internet, so I think there should be no play-by-play in the thread (if that is chosen), just insight.

I too would like the chat mode because it allows me the chance to have the news as it happens instead of having to wait till after the games to find out what happened. Does the radio station that broadcasts the PSU games have a webcast?

In retrospect I liked the chat, but I sometimes have to factor in the time difference, and try to plan my day where I was free when it was game time.

I like the thread because this is a forum.

Also a thread seems more 'stable' to me. I like reading you guys' comments before and after the games, but during games I like to be elsewhere (PGE Park preferably). In a chat, comments are lost too fast.

Next year there will be more TV coverage -> even less time in fron of the computer during games.

I really prefer the thread - it is nice to read the posts after the game.
