Comical. You can't blame this one on the defense, either.

True. They’ve had quite a few stops and created some TO’s. I’m not sure what else they could do.

Talkington, Chism, rt. al are just trying to do too much. They need to calm down and play within themselves.

Case in point. Talkington makes a run and then takes a hit standing up. Why?

I don/t even recognize a lot of the names we have in on defense. Do we have a ton of injuries?

Playing some of the younger guys on the DL, but think the DB's are the same as usual. Don't think it's injuries, just the level of competition. Hope it's not injuries anyway.

I won't go as far as to say that we don't WANT to win, but in a lot of games this season (including this one) it just seems like we've given up to some extent.

Still feeling this is the season in a nutshell for fans...

Glad we finally picked up a conference win and on the road to boot. The running backs looked good and the defense wasn't completely incompetent. I'm not sure what's going on with the offense overall.

5 TO's... 17 pts. Good job Eags.

Did we even get ANY points off of those 5 Td's? Maybe our second TD? Lots of points left on the board today.

Yes, tons of points. It doesn’t help that we had 3 extremely untimely TOs of our own.

here's the recap with some stats for the game.... laugh or cry? is a win a win?

I enjoyed the defensive play last night but CP is borderline hapless so not expecting any improvement against a mediocre or better team, which is all the Eag's face the rest of the way out. If I had to make an early prediction based on the games I watched yesterday, Eastern doesn't win another game if everything stays the same.

We beat a really bad team. But it’s a road win that we really needed. Portland State is bad as well, so it’s a good shot to win a couple in a row and start getting ourselves sorted out.

It feels like Best is being stubbornly belligerent not bringing in Kekoa or one of the other QB's.

Stubborn loyalty to a 5th year senior.

Exactly, when Gunner would come of the field Best game him the big arm lock. He's sold...hmmm.
