Glanville article

It won't happen.

Why leave Hawaii who's becoming a Non-BCS power for a job at a I-AA school in Oregon?

glanville is in his last years of coaching, he has said it himself in his new released book, even if he came to PSU he would be here tops 3 years

I still say he won't move back to the mainland. He has the perfect situation in Honolulu. He won't leave. /users/31/07/37/smiles/802386.gif /users/31/07/37/smiles/icon9.gif

Glanville would do wonders at PSU but I'm not sure if he really is interested, if you read alot into JG, he is a guy that puts a play

But he also wouldn't waste his time coming to Portland if the job didn't spark interest. One small step for PSU

.......one giant step in my books for Teri Mariani

This could be an overwhelming victory for PSU, on the field and off. Getting Glanville and Mouse could bring PSU to a whole new level of visibility in athletics and elsewhere. Short of having a prof win a nobel prize or something, I'm not sure what else could give our university such instant gravitas.

...and think of where we were two weeks ago, losing Walsh and no AD. Talk about taking lemons and making lemonade!

I'm calling BS on the players who wore the t-shirts claiming they'd quit if Lupfer wasn't hired. Of course, they're going to say that because they score major brownie points with Lupfer if he is retained and lose esentially nothing if Lupfer isn't retained. They can always recant and be applauded for their loyalty to the program. As for Brian White being one of them, he needs to get serious. Once he realized how much better off he'd be in Mouse's offense than under the previous offensive system, he'd thank his lucky stars for the blessed turn of events. Quarterbacks, especially seniors with slim hopes of making the NFL, would kill to play for Mouse! Let's see, would a QB be happier putting up Sawyer Smith numbers in last year's PSU system, or Timmy Chang/Colt Brennan numbers in Hawaii's system?!

The players are being childish. Glanville is better for the team in the short term. Why do they care more about their egos than attendance and sponsors?

Of course they want their DC to be coach. Would they quit? Heck no. This is probably the last year of football for most of them and they aren't going to throw it away on a decision for a head coach that they don't agree with. It's like the people that say if a presidental election doesn't go the way they want it to that they are moving to Canada. It's just a statement on how strong they feel for their guy.
