Good Game

Hey WildCat nation, I wanted to wait a few days so it didn't look I was coming over to rub it in, but I just wanted to say it was a great game on Saturday, and from the perspective down here, the rivalry has just been reignited. My overall impression of your fanbase was you guys were great hosts. I didn't know what to expect, but considering I didn't get beer thrown on me or get f-bombed for wearing red, I would say overall it was a good day. Good luck to you the rest of the season, and hopefully the game is on an alternating home and home instead of being moved to the soccer stadium in SLC like is being discussed. Before the game next year I'll come back and give you a list of good watering holes and local food joints to hit up while you're down in Cedar City. Good luck the rest of the season.

Welcome to the fanboard, and welcome to the Big Sky. I for one am glad you guys were finally invited to join. I also look forward to coming down for football and basketball.

Despite the loss is really was a fairly entertaining game, the SUU fans were awesome, its great to see that support, this is going to turn out to be one of the hottest rivalries in the conference, and I, like you TBIRDFAN, believe that this game should be a home and home thing, Its just the way it should be.

Im glad you enjoyed your trip up, but dont get used to SUU winning, it was a one time thing. We'll get you guys in Cedar City next year ;-)

Another thing, what kind of name would you give this rivalry, I like the Civil War, (north vs south) but others on this board (WSUFootballer) dont like it. What do you think would be a good name for it? We need a traveling trophy too.

I am a fan of the name "civil war", but because Oregon/Oregon State use it already, I would rather go with something like "Skirmish for the Spike" and have a traveling trophy of a gold rail road spike going to the annual winner, or something like that with more of a Utah connection.

I agree why use a name that has already been taken? Just my thoughts. maybe, Great Basin Brawl, The Basin Brawl, they are in the great basin too? Maybe, The War Along The Wasatch, The War On The Wasatch, The Bottom Feeders Fabulous Foray and worse yet, The Morman Massacre, hey hey that kind of jumps out and grabs ya and come on who wouldn't want that one? probably 97% of the state. :bad:
