I want that gif, minus the add.

It was the first .gif I had ever grabbed off youtube. I saw the video and said "I want" and decided to finally Google "Youtube to .gif". Didn't realize there were so many sites. I'll have to chack out which ones are best.

We have always given up a ton of yards on defense. I don't see this season being any different. What I will say is that we need to figure out a way to come up with some more turnovers, because that'll likely be the difference in some of the closer games we'll play this season.

This. Turnovers was what separated the 2010 team from the 2012 and '13 teams. To put it in perspective, they forced more turnovers in the 2010 semifinal (6 against Villanova) than they did in the playoffs in either of the last two years total (4 in 2012, 5 in 2013). The defense is obviously not gonna become a NDSU shutdown style defense, so they've gotta rely on getting turnovers to help slow down the opposition and so far they're not getting them.

I get what you're saying about turnovers, but what happens when you play a ball control offense? There are lots of ways to reduce the risk of turning the ball over. Simply, a team that can run the ball right up your ass never has much risk in putting on the turf.

I'd say you can't count on turnovers. You need to prepare a hardnosed, don't-give-an-inch defense. Is it a big surprise that North Dakota State has the threepeat? Is it any real surprise that our best defensive year coincided with a National Championship?

Or the Seahawks in the SB over the most prolific [passing] offense in NFL history. As much as I hate NDSU, the physical ground and pound offense and suffocating defense has proven to be superior the vast majority of the time. Unless you're a soft team like Delaware. ;)

I agree with this. I do think our offense would have given NDSU some problems last year, especially playing in warm weather where the ball isn't effected by the cold. I still think they would have beaten us, but it would have been a better game than Towson gave them. They were far too one-dimensional.
