It looks like Greg Lupfer will be looking for another job again. Toledo Head Coach has resigned.

Such is the life of a football coach.

QUICK, would someone with some pull please call the AD and tell him to FIRE Glanville and get the man who should have been our coach two years ago.

I suppose an attempt to bring him aboard wouldn't hurt. However, I think firing a coach after two years is premature given that he has only had one recruiting class so far and has lost all the contributors from Walsh's teams. If Lupfer could be brought back as a position coach, I would be all for it.

Agreed. Would like to get him back in the fold but not sure that firing JG right now is the way to go.

I didn't like the fact that Glanville didn't keep Lupfer to begin with, maybe it's time for Glanville to hire a DC and Luper would be a great choice. I doubt this happens, but Lupfer was and is a devoted Viking and I would like to see him back on the Portland State sidelines.

Was that even a possibility?

Lupfer - 4-3
JG - 3-4

I don't think that could have coexisted. Let's say if we did have JG as the head coach and had a DC. That DC would be forced into the 3-4. I can't think that someone who's ran the 4-3 to just switch over.

That's exactly right. Unfortunately.

Good move for Lupfer. That will help burnish his resume. Fort Collins, Colorado is a great place to live too. It will be a nice place for his family. Good luck to Lupfer!
