Griz Game Televised?

I know it's 10 days away, but I wonder if there's a deal in the works to air the home opener against the Griz on local television?

In the past, I remember large KPAX trucks from Missoula being parker behind the restrooms to broadcast the game to the Missoula area. Would we be able to pick up that feed?

I think this would be a great opportunity for the program... Should be a big crowd, the Griz travel well and it's the opening home game for our Hornets. Some casual fans clicking through the channels might think twice and see what we're all about and what they are missing. Montana has name recognition too which couldn't hurt.

I have no clue how much it costs to get the rights to a particular broadcast, but it seems like this might fit in well with Comcast's scheduled new show with Coach Sperbeck (debuts 9/22).

Who the heck would we lobby to for this game to be televised? Dr. Wanless? Or, did we blow our chances of being televised by laying a big fat egg in Cedar City last weekend?

I wouldn't be suprised if there was a self imposed black out rule like the NFL has. Don't televise home games on local t.v. Make people come to the stadium to see. Get them interested by providing away games.

there's no blackout rule...i know the Montana State game was on last year. Comcast picked up their broadcast and showed it locally. they've actually locally-broadcast a handful of non-causeway games at Aggie Stadium the past couple years (i remember Portland State and Montana).
