Montana tried to put the job on Sac State, with refs gifting them a 4th down stop with one of the worst spots you'll ever see in football. They refused to review it for some odd reason, despite replay showing it not even close.

But Sac State hangs on. Montana's backup QB isn't very good.

I watched the end of that game. Montana’s offense is completely anemic and can’t complete a pass more than 15 yards down the field.

As much as I love watching them lose, that loss weakened our win over them a bit. Obviously they were a different team when we played but still…

Eagles win out, keep playing the way they are on offense and defense and the seeding takes care of itself. Keep the 1-0 focus. Next challenge Weber State.

I agree, but kicking the crap out of Idaho, and a UM loss is heavenly.

I hate to keep harping on it, but dammit Montana always gets the most insane calls. We've benefitted from some and had some go against us, so it sort of evens out. You expect to get a couple of howlers in your favor and couple work against you every year. But Montana's ability to pull ridiculously bad calls out of their ass frequently is egregious.

I assume ESPN has the Sac State /Montana game archived. Go watch Sac State's 4th down play to effectively end the game. There is no way the runner was short of the line to gain. In fact, he was darn near two full yards in front of where the ball was spotted. How on Earth a spot that bad can happen and then mysteriously not get reviewed is shocking.

Yep that was a real head scratcher. Refs love the frizz especially in Missoula. Never forget Aaron Boyce getting flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for jogging into the end zone circa 2007.

Another thought, there is no shame in losing to Sac St. We all know Troy Taylors coaching capabilities, he will have the Hornets a Big Sky power for years to come.
