Montana is ready for a deep playoff run, great job new coach and QB.

Great win for Montana. Not sure I'm ready to call Stitt the anointed one quite yet. That NDSU team did not look like the ones from the past 4 years. Still, a good win for them.

Good win for the program and the BSC.

Glad they won. Enough of this ndsu shit.

We got a game.

I wonder what's going on over at Bisonville right now.

I can only imagine, although those fan bases love to jerk each other off.

Not quite full melt-down, but they are definitely nervous.

I predict full melt-down if they lose.

And, Bisonville crashes. Not joking, it actually crashed.

Man, how awful was #5-- the CB for North Dakota State? I mean, he couldn't cover a soul, blew tackles, and just otherwise fucked up on pretty much every play. He was by far the worst player on the field for either team.

I don't understand why coaches let kids keep playing when they are just in arrears. You certainly don't do your team any favor by not trying to change things up, and that poor kid will be thinking about this game for the rest of his life. It even sounds as though NDSU had moved kids from corner to safety thinking they had some talent.

I like our chances this year. We should be better and deeper at WR and RB than either Montana or NDSU. With a little help from the defense, we should stay on top. Good win for the Griz. As much as I despise them, they showed a lot of heart and originality in a very challenging situation.

I agree, NDSU was not that impressive and I doubt they will be MVC champs. However, that was a great win for Montana. I was impressed with the Montana QB for his performance and for the beating he endured. Poor kid will not last if that happens every week.

I didn't expect Montana to be this good this early (IF, as noted, NDSU doesn't end up being sub-par this year). Their receiving corps, while making some nice plays also busted off a few routes, ran the wrong routes, and had some terrible drops. The passing game should get more crisp throughout the season.

They also were missing Herbert Gamboa at LB who serving a one game suspension. He was a stud last season.

Sky is the limit for the Griz which I think is a very good thing for us and the conference. If they go on the road and beat a 12th ranked Liberty in Lynchburg the profile of the conference come playoff selection time will be that much better.

I know there's a ton of football to be played, but I can't wait for the Missoula trip. We're going to have our hands full and it would be bonkers to have both teams highly ranked at that time.

They did play well and even seemed to have some of that EWU mojo at the end of the game. And like I said before, it's a great win for them and the BSC...something that needed to happen. I do their running game, particularly inside the red zone, will be a challenge for them. Maybe not.

I just can't help but feel like there was something a little "off" about NDSU. I also had a feeling that they might struggle defending that type of passing attack, which is part of the reason I think we could have really challenged them had we had the opportunity to play them in either 2014 or 2014 (especially 2013).

Montana should challenge for the BSC this season. But if I were a Griz fan I'd be cautiously optimistic. I remember in 2012 them upsetting App St, which was supposed to be a huge win for them. App St. ended up being absolutely horrible that year, and Montana went 5-6, I believe.
