As Viking fans we have seen more attention in these last few months then most of our school history, with that and the rejuvenated PSU fan base this site has grown a lot, ever since Jerry's hire we have grown more and more. I see big things for this site, another thing that will help is the football season, this is what our goal as a site will be.

This site has a least 250-300 Portland State fans that can be identified, the rest either can't be identified, are spammers, or are fans of another school. If each fan here were to got to a home game and tell just 1 person about this site, that would make 600 potential people that could join this site, at the end of our home games, 3,000. That's just one person, if you could all do something of that sort it would be awesome!!!! Just tell them to go to www.psufansforum.com! This could really help towards making this site a good community for Viking fans.

Just a thought....

It would be nice, but for me it would involve a plane ride from San Antonio to Portland.......not to mention trying to explain American football and the loyalty we have to our alma matas to somebody (my wife) who is a rabid fan of what the the rest of the world calls football and there is no real tradition of college athletics.

casey, there are a lot of rabid football (aka soccer) fans at college level. Look at U Portland et al. But there's too much money wrapped up in American style football. And probably any place in the world could beat us at soccer, which may have something to do with our support for Anerican style.

has the apperance of the forum changed......It looks different than what it yesterday when I was looking at it Thursday back in Texas before I packed away thr laptop.

Fans, if you still post at Oregon Live drop a link to this site for the new people there. Let them know there is more then that monopolized forum.

Folks:
I love the new look in the forum! Keep up the great work. Re: getting folks to the game, each week we bring 5 people with us. Last week each one brought one, that's 10 bodies! We had a great time. Loved the offensive show, in spite of the interceptions. Defense played well between the 30's, but on several occasions they allowed zone blocking to totally take the D-line and linebackers out of the picture. The result was predictable, big holes and lots of yards gained. Injuries are part of the game, but I'd rather have them happen early in the season, allow for some healing to take place and then get folks back and ready for the last few games of the season. The injuries have at least allowed some folks to step up earlier than was expected (Carlson has been just short of awesome). Looking forward to the next home game!

I like this forum. I follow PSU and when I lived in Portland I went to hoop and football games and enjoyed it. I tried to be reasonable and logical on the other board and I was just ridiculed. I'm not going back to O-live.

Keep up the good work here!

Glad to have you on board! I've seen your posts on the other site. It's really too bad the one poster has taken over that site. I think you'll find most of us on this board are reasonable, with good perspective and not all too consuming. Hope the PSU-WOU is a good game, with the Viks winning 56-21. Any school that produced Mouse Davis is ok in my book.

I feel like I'm doing my job. Welcome to the sane side.

Thanks for the replies. I like this site, some reasoned discourse here. I like PSU in athletics, too, and look forward to seeing them in the Big Dance. Bone is a great coach.
