ISU QB Tanner Gueller has been added to the Walter Payton Award watch list. The story hasn't been posted yet on Stats home page, but they do have a story in which they predict ISU will make the playoffs and host San Diego in the first round.

If he goes for 3k, 30 TD and under 10 INT, he will deserve a Top 5 finish. He has been really great about 90% of the year. Really happy for him..

I've always thought the kind of offense you run will determine the stars on the team. I think Tanner has been great on both sides of the coin though. I love the trust that the coaches have in him.
I hope he has a strong finsh to the year with at least 4 more games.

If only his completion percentage we're a little higher... he'd be a shoe in.

It's great to see how Tanner has improved as a QB over the last few years. He's a lot more confident in his throws, his receivers and he can spot a quick gap on the option to give us 1st downs. He's thinking a lot more quickly on this feet and his mobility this year has been a huge improvement. That one shovel pass to Ty while he was going down during the MSU game was huge. He had another this past weekend also.

Happy to see him and our entire team receive accolades. The pregame notes from yesterday said 4, but we actually have 5 Roots Sports Players of the week this year. That has to be a record for one season.

The completion % is a bit skewed, in that, we take LOTS of shots deep and medium range. I’m very respectful of his play and decisions..
