Hansen- Becoming Automatic

WILDCAT

I Like Hansen, but he has not been Mr. "Automatic" YET this year, and I vote that until he actually starts making his 3 point shots, we should not call him automatic.

1-11 (.09 %) is NOT AUTOMATIC, and most of those shots were wide open, including the one at the end.

Hansen come on man thats your job, you gotta make your shots.

It could be worse, he could be missing free throws like ISU's guys were  (Thank you by the way ISU)

Having vented my 2 cents, WAY TO GO WEBER GREAT WIN TONIGHT, KEEP IT UP, its too bads UNC had to win tonight, it would have been great if they had lost.

GO WILDCATS (and GO COWBOYS tomorrow) 8-)

Now that shooting is the topic. Sessions did much better on his free throws. He did a great Job bending his knees and following through with his shot.

Even though Hansen has been struggling from the arch, he has been doing great in all the other facets of the game. His defense is much better than last year, even though he never should have been guarding Gilchrist one on one. His passing and intensity are great and his rebounding is much improved so I think Hansen is better on the court than off. Besides his back up was 0-4 and I really like him to. It was just one of those nights.
Gilchrist is a great player. I love his speed. To bad ISU doesn't have much of an inside threat. With Morgan, Gilchrist, and Carson that team should have a lot better record. I think O'Brien is an idiot for playing so many tough OCC games. Yes, you can't be like USU and play a bunch of cakes at home every year, but you shouldn't play such a tough schedule that your team is beat up and worn out when conference starts.

I hate to say this, but its time to Bring Hughey off the bench and start him in place of Hansen. We have not got any production at all from Nick Hansen, Im tired of watching him miss WIDE OPEN 3 point shots, I cringe everytime he shoots the ball. I think Hughey has been playing much better than Hansen has these last few weeks, and I think Rahe should reward him with Hansen's starting spot. Davis last year struggled when he was a starter, then he came off the bench and played really well, maybe that could happen for Hansen to, but right now I think its time for a change, its time to start Hughey over Hansen.

In a lot of ways I agree with you Wildcat. All those missed open shots drive me crazy, especially ones that are at the end of a close game that could give the Cats some much needed breathing room. Bull, who is one of my fav. players, has been missing his fair share of shots also. He missed a few open 3's last night, one crucial one at the end. His game is way off too. In my opinion they are pushing it to much, forcing their shots.

Personally, I think its better that they are both on the floor than off. They do a lot of the intangibles that help our team succeed. Defense, hussle plays, and their competitive attitude that helps lead the team.

So I makes me feel bad that the Weber fan base is losing confidence in Nick Hansen. I really hope that we can help him, not bring him down. Hat he needs is confidence and when people are talking about pulling him and things like that, that means we don't support him. Let's get behind him and give positive encouragement this weekend! Have faith in Hansen. His shots will fall here soon!

6-6 from behind the arc,

NOW THATS WHAT IM TALKIN ABOUT

Well done Hansen, keep that hot streak going into the rest of the season.

hansen comes up huge in the biggest game of the year! had he got a few more attempts who knows what may have happened that night.

Single Game 3-pointers
1. Greg Boyd 9 1988
2. Alex Fisher 8 1996
2. Johnny Hamilton 8 2004

Hansen tied the WSU school record for Three-Point Shooting Percentage in a game (min. 5 attempts), hitting 6-6 from the floor.
He now shares the mark with Alex Fisher who came 6-6 in a 97-80 at home over BYU back on Dec. 4, 1996.
