I awoke with extra energy today. It felt like a 50 lb wieght had been lifted off my back. I wasn't sure what was making me feel that way until I realized that....
SUU is gone, no longer in the BSC, kaput, finieto, off our backs. whoop whoop
Yep, SUU left the warship to join a leaky dingy. Surprised SFA hasn’t decided to go to the Southland. One more move and that football conference is gone.
Heard the WAC has a schedule agreement with the ASUN conference. How is SUU is going to afford trips to Florida and Arkansas in addition to Texas in the WAC consistently? If this WAC Football ever gets off the ground, which I doubt, it might only last 1-2 seasons. The travel costs will be too much for these programs.
The SUU President and AD just drove SUU into the ditch and are now leaving. Sure fans are ticked…not to mention athletes.
You hit the nail on the head Chex. Part of me wants to feel sorry for SUU, but the rational side of me says that it was their choice. When the WAC implodes over its own ignorance, SUU will be left out in the cold. There is a higher likelyhood that Dixie or UVU will come out of it in better shape. SUU seems to be seeking a way to slip back into D11, which is probably where they belong anyway. It's really too bad they couldn't make a go of it in the BSC.
With the recent moves in the P5 conferences, there are bound to be some ripple effects in the MWC, the PAC12, and maybe even in the BSC. I'm not sure how it will all end up, but it will certainly be interesting.
