Not sure about that, Geving is well liked by the current players, many of them lobbied for him to get the job. He has even talked about how he won't be able to be as close with the player's now that he's the head coach.

Hmmm...I guess that would make sense, Geving and DuChesne coached together at Edmonds CC, seems like a good pick-up. I also read on one of the WSU boards that Curtis Allen to Washington State is a done deal.

He talks about his players, the 2009-10 schedule and the team's first scrimmage. A minor shoulder injury to Dominic Waters in early season practice gave his new guards more playing time. New Portland State men's basketball coach Tyler Geving will be a weekly guest on The Wheels at Work Show on 95.5 FM The Game in Portland. Geving will talk Viking basketball and more with hosts Brian Wheeler, Kenny Vance and Jay Allen every Tuesday at 1:35 p.m. beginning on November 10.

Viking fans get a first look at the 2009-10 Portland State team when opens with an exhibition game next Wednesday, November 4. The Vikings will host Western Oregon at 7:05 p.m. at the Stott Center. The game can be heard on 800 AM KPDQ.

The Vikings come off a 108-65 exhibition win over Western Oregon on Wednesday. PSU opens its season at the Athletes in Action Classic in Seattle, Nov. 13-15. PSU's home opener is Nov. 21 against Cal Poly.
