I voted for the "GO W" for two reasons.

1. because our current logo isnt very helmet friendly, remove the words Weber State from it and it works a lot better. I like the Wildcat in the shield logo, I think its one of the baddest logo's out there but like mentioned before, its not helmet friendly.

2. I think the "GO W" is unique to Weber and easy to base a tradition off of. And its very helmet friendly.

Weber should have put the "GO W" at midfield.

What if we took the Cat out of the shield and just used the cat? The whole cat?

I agree with WILDCAT. The Cat logo really is one of the best in the country (so why would we not want to use it):

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft%3Aen-us&biw=1280&bih=619&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=wildcat+logos+designs&oq=wildcat+logos&aq=1&aqi=g2g-m1&aql=&gs_sm=c&gs_upl=114864l118314l0l125075l21l13l0l0l0l3l281l1906l0.10.2l12" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But, I never really got the shield thing. The whole Cat, by itself, would look great, I think. Can anyone post a re-done logo that just has the whole Cat (no shield, and not just the paw or just the head) with the mountain peaks under it? I know its probably blasphemous, but I've always thought the Go W looked like a moving company logo.

I agree...The "W" looks like a moving van company logo....The cat is pretty awesome with or without the shield. it needs to be something strong and powerful....not a letter....sorry "W" fans!

I think most Weber fans are fairly nostalgic. I know I am; one reason why I like the moving W. But at the same time the Cat and sheild mark is what identifies this era of football. Honestly, and I could care less about Washington, but I think Weber should go back to the block W that was used in the 60s and 70s, but I'm sure there is some type of trademark crap associated with it :wtf:.

I would like to see the giant Cat back on the court at the Dee.

:protesst: The flying dub does not look like a moving van company! The shield is too much for a helmet, it's more of a centerfield piece. However, elminating the shield and leaving the cat doesn't look very good either. Solution you ask??? FLYING DUB!

The flying dub is simple, visible, and recognizable. Good visibility is crucial to a good helmet logo. The current helmet logo is too busy and lacks good visibility from more than 10 feet away. You should be able to see and recognize a good helmet logo from the far reaches of the stands. If you asked most casual fans what was on Weber's helmet they probably wouldn't be able to tell you. It just doesn't stand out and say "Weber" like a big flying dub would.

I think Weber should take the Wildcat out of the shield and use it as thier helmet logo.(I did a little remodeling on Paint, and it actually looks pretty sweet).

or

Use a block W

or

Go back to the "GO W"

or

Use the Curvey W thats in the shield, (take it out of the shield and use only the W)

I've always like the "GO W" or Flying W as it was called in the stone age. Speaking of stone age...somewhere betwenn the year 1 & 15 B.W. (before Waldo) when I was a weee lad and going to Wildcat games with my dad, they used to have a LIVE wildcat mascot. That would be sweeeeeeeeet to bring back. (just to piss off the PETA peeps.

Really. I have never heard that. How old are you!? But that's pretty cool. Was it run out onto the field?

Don't tell CATCAT he was the Local PETA president while he was a student at Weber. He used to protest outside of the Mink ranches in Morgan County. He did get impeached though, due to some indecent behavior with certain freed animals.
