I'm bummed too. I guess it was just lip service. He didn't care about UNC at all.

What will be interesting is the hire. This could be the thing that ultimately costs Hinrichs his job if he gets the wrong person. Hinrichs has done two successful things at UNC - (1) facility improvements and (2) the men's hoops hire. And we all know the only reason he was successful in that hire was because Boyle was from Greeley. I think it'll be hard to get anybody near Boyle's level in there (they should promote from within actually).
But if Hinrichs makes the wrong hire (after botching the football one), it could bite him in the butt.

Tad isn't going to be expected to win the conference......If he can get CU to a consistent top 6-7 team in league (from 9th at worst now---Oklahoma, Iowa State, and Nebraska are all below them--I'd put them on the same level with Texas Tech) he'll do fine at CU.
