"The Big Sky Conference has selected its football players of the week for games played on Saturday, Sept. 11. Weber State quarterback Cameron Higgins is the offensive player of the Week."
"Higgins, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound senior from Kai, Hawai’i, completed 33-of-54 passes for 340 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in Weber State’s 50-47 four-overtime conference victory over Northern Colorado. The Walter Payton Award candidate threw TD passes of 12 and 38 yards to Mike Phillips, and added a 2-yard strike to Joe Collins. His fourth touchdown pass to Austin Raught in the third overtime came on a fourth-and-2, sending the game into a fourth OT. Higgins surpassed 10,000 career passing yards with his first completion, and became Weber State’s all-time leader in touchdown passes with 88. This is Higgins’ seventh career player of the week honor."
