I wonder what this means for the stadium? Perhaps a video/replay scoreboard? Another grandstand?

Don't mean to rain on the parade, but it seems this league has been trying to get started since 2014. Back then, one of the coaches was someone named Jerry Glanville. I believe Mike Riley was at one time tied to the league as well. It could happen, but I am going to wait and see.

David, I would like to think that we could get some advantage out of this, but I don't think that we will.

I follow a couple people who have referred to this venture as something of a scam pretty much since 2014.

Meanwhile, the XFL only has one market (St. Louis) that draws decently, and the USFL looks more like they’re trying to be a TV league. Last year, the USFL only played in two stadiums, this year they’re in four. Note that, since I just got back from one of my wild roadies, that I did see billboard ads in Ohio and Detroit hawking tickets for USFL games. Also, if Wikipedia is a guide, the USFL purchased trademarks for the Portland Breakers. It’s hard to imagine either league really surviving very long in any event. And if they manage to survive and end up in Portland, it won’t be Hillsboro.
