Can anyone shed some light on the hiring process and time line? What's the schedule to narrow the list, first round of interviews, 2nd, and final?

Men’s Head Basketball Coach

California State University, Sacramento invites applications and nominations for the full-time position of Head Coach for Men’s Basketball. With a current student population of approximately 28,000, Sacramento State, the capital University, is one of the larger campuses in the 23-campus California State University system, the largest system of higher education in the nation. The University is organized around seven colleges. There are approximately 1,700 faculty who provide programs of instruction leading towards bachelor’s degrees in 60 disciplines and master’s degrees in 40 disciplines and two joint doctoral programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include conducting the men’s basketball program in accordance with NCAA, Big Sky Conference and California State University, Sacramento rules and regulations. Duties consist of managing all phases of a competitive NCAA Division I basketball program with emphasis on coaching, academic success, recruiting, and scheduling, fundraising, community outreach and budget management. Be responsible for recruiting student-athletes who have the ability to succeed both academically and athletically in accordance with university goals, NCAA and conference regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education; experience coaching men’s basketball at the collegiate level; experience in managing budgets; proven ability to establish good rapport and an effective working relationship with student-athletes, administrators, faculty, staff and community.

Desired: A master’s degree; successful experience in coaching men’s basketball at the NCAA Division I level; demonstrate success in recruiting student-athletes capable of achieving academic and athletic success at the NCAA Division I level; experience or knowledge of recruiting in California and/or Sacramento area; successful experience generating external funds.

APPOINTMENT: Full-time 12-Month Head Coach Position

SALARY RANGE: Negotiable and dependent upon qualifications and professional experience

ANTICIPATED START DATE: On or about April 14, 2008
