"The Big Sky Conference has selected its football Players of the Week for games played on Saturday, Sept. 24. Weber State quarterback Mike Hoke and Sacramento State QB Jeff Fleming are the Co-Offensive Players of the Week. Montana State defensive end Caleb Schreibeis and Northern Colorado defensive end Issac Bond are the Co-Defensive Players of the Week. Montana State kicker Jason Cunningham is the Special Teams Player of the Week.

Hoke, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound junior from Kailua, Hawai’i, was nearly flawless in Weber State’s 45-21 road win over Northern Colorado. Hoke completed 20-of-25 passes for 280 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions. He finished the game with an efficiency rating of 240.1. Hoke threw four TD passes in the first half as the Wildcats raced out to a 35-0 lead. Three of his TD passes were caught by Shaydon Kehano, including a 57-yarder in the second quarter. Hoke has thrown 11 touchdown passes and no interceptions this season. He has not thrown an interception in 160 pass attempts dating back to the 2009 season. This is his first Player of the Week honor."

By the way, Bond plays for Northern Arizona, not Northern Colorado. That's a typo. I almost went ape sh!t when I saw that a UNC defensive player was awarded POW. But at least they didn't sneak an undeserving UM player on there this week.

  Oh yeah!! Where is the writer from the Bozeman paper who didn't think Hoke was going to be good. Hmmm....kinda eating crow right now. Thats fine. Keep under-estimating Weber. Weber is only going to get better.
