Holiday Basketball

In Greeley for some basketball. The Bears looked good against Stetson. Looking forward to the womens VB this afternoon and BB against Florida A&M.

Really nice to see the Bears play a complete game last night. We had 15 assists and only 6 turnovers. Seeing the game live reminds me just how fast and athletic these young men are at the D1 level.

Has anyone noticed who's back playing the point? I could be a little biased, but the offense just seems to flow when Tevin is at the point. Not sure how long it will last, but I personally like it for now.

Happy Hollidays

Finished a great weekend in Greeley with a win over Florida A&M. The Rattlers didn't have much as the score showed.

My take home was again these kids are athletic. Speaking of athletes I sure hope Tim H. Gets more court time than he has this season. He has only averaged 14 minutes per game. If you look at his game and statistics they reveal he needs to be on the floor. Not sure why he doesn't start over Smith but as someone once said they are glad I'm an uncle and not a coach. I will let you guys decide it's just my humble opinion.

Looking forward to the rest of the season :thumb:

I'm not sure about Tim H. Playing time either other than BJ is trying out different combinations on the court . BJ is also big on defense and maybe he is not getting it? And then I have noticed some of these guys thrive on coming off the bench in short spurts. Whatever it is we seem to have a lot of potential for a great season. !

Tim broke his nose in the opener against Black Hills State (hence the mask), so the fact that he's playing less right now is probably just BJ playing it safe with him against some lesser competition. I'm sure once he heals up and the competition stiffens up, his minutes will increase.

Logical thought, I had a chance to ask him about the nose and mask. He told me the mask does't bother him at all. I would suggest it's why his minutes are down some as he didn't play much after breaking it 2 minutes into that game. We will find out more these next few games as the competition will be significantly increasing. I hope you are correct but history tends to repeat itself.
