Homecoming?

Well, our new tradition, started last season, is drinking beer and bitching about football. Our homecoming dance theme this year is" 0 and forever". My date and I are both wearing black. :)

Ursa that is funny!

Wildcat - too old to know if the old traditions continue (bonfire, a lot of greek activity, etc.). My understanding is the parade still goes, but I have not been to that for a while. Drinking in the parking lot with Ursa.

The Bonfire and Parade are the two main ones. Also there is a banner contest, check out the University Center balcony to see 'em.

I too will continue my newfound tradtion of drinking till watching the game dosent hurt anymore...

PS if anyone wants to stop by for a beer or two, look for us in the tailgate area - green & silver pickup with a UNC flag pole.

Does that beer offer hold for post-game?

6:15? So...you take a break from the previous night? Unless of course you meant 6:15 P.M. Friday so then, my apologies.

Ah, grasshopper, you'll learn soon enough that man cannot continue to uphold his collegiate drinking pace once he passes 30.

But...no one ever called me a quitter. Some day, I hope that I have donated enough money to the program that when I die, the Marching Band, The Pride of the Rockies, plays taps, while forming a replica of my liver on the field. Everyone has to have a dream. And that, bearsradio, is mine.

You're telling that to a man who has been a member of a group that has been known to play "Wildcat Victory" at a funeral before. I'm a good K-Stater, but that may be a little over the top.

Of course, I also have relatives who at the Notre Dame Victory March played as the processional from their 50th wedding anniversary mass.

I remember driving back from the UNC-Pittsburg State playoff game (our 1st National Championship year) and we were listening to a K-State basketball game and they did a reminder to "Join us for Cat Chat after each basketball game". I laughed out loud thinking it was a dorky name for a post game show. Sounds like two old ladies talking about little kitties.

Here's an article in todays Trib about Romas. I personally think it's just ok. I mean it's cheap so you get what you pay for. Nothing special. However, it's in a great location, right by the old part of campus which is nice to see in the fall with leaves on the ground. It has a good feeling about it.

Hey Ursa, you gonna be at Pitchers Friday??

Well bearsradio...me being a Kansas boy myself, and you having some old Notre Dame blood in you, I guess you can't be all bad.
Here is a song I learned years ago from an old ND grad(and I mean old)
" Cheer, Cheer for old Notre Dame
You take the Notre, I'll take the Dame
Send a freshman out for gin
Don't let a sober sophmore in"
" We never stagger, we never fall
We sober up on wood alcohol
While our loyal son's are marching
On to the bar for more."
beardown, I have to teach on Friday at my host school so my attendance at Pitchers will be dependant on whether I get out of class at a decent hour.
