• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.
  • Hi Guest, want to participate in the discussions, keep track of read/unread posts and more? Create your free account and increase the benefits of your eGriz.com experience today!
  • Guest, do want an ad free experience on BigSkyFans.com among other benefits? Upgrade your account today!

Thanks for the continued support. Cheers!

Hope...

I am still astounded that there are voices out there still implying that somehow UNC football is going to get better since there are "good things" going on behind the scenes. I can only guess that our local media members---Twitter guru Ben Warwick, Troy Coverdale, and Sam Mustari---owe Collins money since there is no possible logical explanation for their continued support of this coaching staff. Forum voices still preaching the Collins gospel like McCandyman must either be delusional or members of Collins' coaching staff worried about their jobs. If anything the disaster that just occured to our football program should have us in the Blue and Gold Club clamoring for Collins' removal instead of twiddling our thumbs waiting for another 1-11 season (I don't count wins over NAIA programs as wins and am still mortified we play teams from that association).

I still hold out hope that UNC will make a change at head coach before next year for two reasons. Here is what I know about our former meat packing lawyer turned president:
1.) Our president hates to be embarrassed. Week after week she sits up in that box being reminded she is the president of the school with the worst Division I football team in America. None of the disgrace that is the move to DI is going to help her "legacy"...
2.) Our president has others do her dirty work for her. Jay Hinrichs was hired and immediately told to fire Kay Dalton, a move that forever tainted him in Greeley. I am hoping a similar situation will happen when Dunn takes over and he is told to remove Collins... I hope he is ready to get his hands dirty because that is what the job entails when you work for Carter Hall...

By the way, I am a little tired of hearing how UNC cannot fire Collins... any coach at any time can be fired.. Collins is a nice man who is totally out of his depth as a head coach. I am saddened beyond belief that our once great football program has fallen to these depths. I am tired of losing and frankly tired of listening to those in the Bears community making excuses for failure. Aren't you? Aren't you tired of being the laughing stock of DI football? It's time for us to make our voices heard...

Einstein's definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results... One more year of Collins is insanity...

Miguel, I have not always agreed with some of your perspective but you nailed it this time ! I am in total agreement with what you have to say. To carry on as we are is absolutely stupid and I don't mean any disrespect to Coach Collins but lets get real here, if this situation was in the business world, heads would be rolling ! And its absurd we are waiting for the new AD (whom I believe is the right guy to lead our Bears) to do the dirty work !

We need the George Clooney character from that movie Up in the Air. Just come in and shit can everyone...
