The Hornets run game influence can be seen on the wide open receivers off of a play action pass.mt jack said:

NAU has a solid punt with solid coverage. Hornet ball on their own 20. 4:01 left in the half. And instead of running it and milking the clock, Sperbeck has Fleming air it out and its almost picked off. Hilliard picks up 5. 3rd and 5 with 3:40 and counting left. Fleming hits Richardson who sheds a tackle and gets a nice gain. 1st down on the NAU 49.
Richardson gets a short pick up on a bubble screen. Norrise needs to hold his block for that to have more yards.
Fleming makes another completion to Lane and its close to a 1st down. 3rd and short. Hornets go deep on 3rd and 2. Bad call. Hornets line up to punt but then call a timeout. Well done. Fleming finds Richardson for the 1st down.

They tried a Hail Mary on the last play but the Hornets flushed Stangel. They have taken a few shots deep but the throws have not been accurate at all. NAU is completely shell shocked. It's still not over yet so anything can happen. I have to imagine Sours won't risk Herrick's health and either Stangel or the NAU 3rd QB plays.mt jack said:

The Hornets need to keep up the pressure because SD was right on CS.com, this is the Big Sky, everything is possible. Guys are playing with a lot heart today after all these devastating losses.

FINALLY!!!! Some solid kick coverage. NAU stopped on their own 30. NAU opens with a run. They might be packing it in. I think its time to get the 2nd string some playing time.
