Sac State's gymnastics team was paced by Kailey Hansen's first place finishes in beam and floor as they placed second at the WAC Championships this weekend in Logan, UT. #18 U of Denver won. Sac posted a 195.675, the second highest meet total in Hornet history.

Head Coach Kim Hughes was named WAC Coach of the Year, notably because he led a squad picked to finish last to a second place showing. Hughes netted his 300th career win at the meet.

Kalliah McCartney brought home a trophy as WAC Frosh of the Year. She set the school all-around record at San Jose last weekend, and finished third in the all-around at the WAC Meet. Her score of 39.350 tied for second best in school history.

The team season has ended for the Hornets. Several individuals, however, have qualified for the NCAA West Regional in Seattle.
