HORNETS vs. ISU BUNGLES

I would say that the team looked horrible in the second half, they just tried to give the game away and ISU couldnt pull through. I will say that our D played a little better, the bent but never broke, 2 TD'S was nice to see. As for the offense, Daily had a great game, not sure why they tried to throw so much in the second half when they were up 21. As for the passing game, if you were at the game you could have counted the 7 DROPPED balls by the recievers, its not that Smith looked bad, his balls for the most part was accurate, Reed dropped 3 balls, Lane dropped 2, Hendershot dropped 1, and Mccowan droped 1, so you cant blame that at all on Smith, he still did throw 2TD's. As for the play calling we have ran all over ISU for the last 2 years, Hillard as a freshman ran for 248 and a sophmore ran for 280, Daily had 150 in the first half this week, not sure why we would even throw the ball that much. Just pound the rock.

Check live stats, Smith threw to Lane three times. He caught all three. The offense has to execute better and anyone know if Chase is coming back soon?

The announcers said possibly next week. Although someone else on this board probably has more info.

No need to check live stats, i was at the game, the internet also says smith is 6 foot, maybe 5'10" if hes lucky. If you were at the game you wouldnt need to check live stats, Lane dropped the first ball thrown to him.

There were too many dropped balls, for the most part, they looked like good pases as well. The receivers didnt look to hot Saturday. Smith had a decent game, but I agree, why keep throwing the ball when the RB's are pounding the D.

Chase did really well last season, he has a lot of talent. At the start of the season I understood that he would be back by the EWU game. If he misses any more games I hope that they redshirt him this season. Seems like a waste to use a year of eligibility for a few games.

I agree. Why waste a full year of eligibility for a couple of games?

The Hornets have a history of blowing redshirts early. My favorite Hornet QB got messed over like that before getting moved to WR and then to TB. Man, Pielstick was a dummy.

While I agree with your comment about Pielstick, please confirm for me the "history of blowing redshirts"?

Garrett White's redshirt wasn't blown. It was forced upon us by two major injuries to our QBs in the Causeway Classic in Davis. It wasn't wanted any more by the coaches than the rest of us. There was no other choice at the time. Please tell me if I'm wrong.

I still have 4 years of eligibility left. It would be fun to all post our "Stats" and pass this along to Sperbeck.
