18-7 NAU at the half. Sac had four possessions there which started on their own 1, 1, 13, and 1. A safety on a missed handoff and a TD on a muffed punt led to 8 NAU points (they had the extra point blocked).
Sac had a nice drive going in the second quarter after starting at their own 13, but Duncan had a pass deflected and picked off at the NAU 15.
Looks like Hilliard reinjured his shoulder. Down to Croxdale.

Sac in trouble now...down 25-7 early in the second half....injuries taking a toll now

Man... This game was UGLY. At least the picture was clear on BigSkyTV while we were getting whipped. Too many things didn't go our way early and we just ran out of gas. Injuries definately took their toll in this game.
A couple notes...
In the 1st quarter, Mulitalo DID intercept that pass where he rolled with the receiver
The INT should have been a Touchback
Going on 4th and 2 at our own 37 early in the game was a huge momentum swing
Starting 3 possesions inside our own 1 in the first half was nuts
I respect Loliger, but we're in BIG-er trouble if Duncan goes down and J. Smith and MBT aren't ready to go at UM.

I thought that we could get some kind of running attack going but when that didn't happen it just put too much and the table for Duncan White in his first start to overcome. It was one of those games where the score more represented the situation rather than the difference in quality of the teams.
Hopefully we will be able to use the bye week to get everyone heathly for the Montana game.

It was an ugly game, both defensivley and offensively. I say its over and done with and not worry about it for 2 weeks. We have 2 weeks to get healthy and get ready for Montana who got hammered by Weber state yesterday. Lets all focus on Montana and the next 6 games instead of NAU. Whats in the past is in the past. Lets get ready for the second half.
