Hey Eags, just thought I'd have a central place for people to post/view any good deals on flights, hotels or cars for the trip to Frisco and the chipper. I am so proud of how our guys responded this week! Finish the job!! Go Eags!

I'm going to start looking tomorrow - when I'm more sober.

agreed: Sailor Jerry is wrecking my life right now, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm so proud of these guys!!!

Finally starting to realize we're actually here...I think most people I know are going thur-Sunday...I might go ahead early and catch my blazers play the mavs though. Go eagles! Where is everyone going to stay?

My wife and I are flying Southwest, in 1/6, out 1/8. Booked Holiday Inn Express in Frisco weeks ago but may change that based on where the team stays etc. It has been a long since 1967 when Coach Holmes led our Savages into the NAIA national title game. That team didn't get the respect they deserved, just like our #1 ranked team this year. We took mighty Villanova down on national TV and their blog blames it on turnovers. Truth hurts, our #4 kicked ass on their #4. Szczur looked ordinary to me but that is because our defense dominated the game. See you in Frisco.

I'm interested in flying someone down to TX with me if they're willing to pay my way of the hotel cost (I can get $75/night with my airlines employee rate and the Best Westerns down there.) and some food or rental car?!?

Send me a message. I doubt my wife will want to go w/ me...I'm going down Thursday the 6th and returning Saturday the 8th.

THANKS!

Brandon

Flights were going FAST this morning. We kept waiting to see if EWU/SID would come out with information on flights, the guys schedules, travel plans for fans, family - and while waiting for that, kept watching flights disappear.

A few of the players mentioned they might be down there for up to a week. We caved and bought tickets as the deals were disappearing arriving late on Wednesday and leaving mid-afternoon on Saturday.

Have not made hotel reservations - hoping that Dave Cook/Troy Kirby have a location so that we're all together while down there. knock on wood.

Unbelievable play by EVERYONE yesterday - yes, even BLM. Best game of his career for sure. Well managed, saw the field, worked well with Edwards, Brown - the whole lot. Okay, almost everyone was stellar. What was the deal with 17 on the kickoff? Good lord.

Fans were great. Tailgating was the best all year - even beat out the Griz matchup (more Eagles out there this game). Uber impressed with the makeshift band. Thank you Spokane! Somewhat appalled that it took THIS WIN to get the Spokesman to give the guys some love. NOW they'll all jump on the bandwagon. Perhaps next season they'll love us a little more until the program down the road actually starts turning heads with some W's. Though, probably not likely.

tickets are going sale monday at noon, not from ewu, but directly from the NCAA, however, they're going to provide us with a way to purchase tickets in the EWU section, so i'd hold off buying tickets until then.

no word on the team hotel yet.

This was posted in another thread by Swoop 55 and, if correct, should be seen by all planning on the trip to Frisco. Especially the ticket part.

All, I talked to an employee in the Athletic Department about tickets to the NC/Charter Info, Tickets etc..They will not receive any information until Monday. With that said, I guess the athletic department might be forced to purchase 1,000 tickets (EWU section) weather they can sell them or not. It's an NCAA mandated deal. EWU Athletics is hoping that as many EWU fans as possible purchase tickets through the EWU ticket office and not go through the NCAA/Frisco/Etc. In addition, they said there will be travel packages available that the NCAA puts together that includes, flight/hotel/transportation/tickets, etc....So stay tuned to GOEAGS.COM on Monday. Spread the word to Eag Nation!!!

Delaware website Already has the game day ticket info with priority to donors, season ticket holders, how can that be ? we have to wait until Mon. to see what side of the field we are on ? Where the team hotel is ? Come on SID!!! get us the info, ASAP!!! GOEAGS!

I would be pretty disappointed if we couldn't even sell 1000 tickets. Eitherway the www.ncaa.com site already has travel packages up....but they are quite a bit more expensive then putting them together yourself

Well I got my flights booked (gonna spend a couple of days in vegas 1st) so I guess waiting to buy tickets thru EWU is the best thing to do...

After looking at the final bracket on ncaa.com, it finally hit me...WE'RE GOING TO THE NATIONAL F'ING CHAMPIONSHIP

Again, congrats on making the Championship game...you'll all have a blast. I posted this on another thread but for those of you looking for a true "Texas" experience, look into staying in the stockyards in Fort Worth. I live in the north Dallas area near Frisco and it's all traffic & retail. If you have some spare time, head for Ft Worth.

If you want some world class BBQ while you're here, I would make it over to Angelo's in Fort Worth or North Main BBQ in Euless...you can't go wrong either way. I'm a Georgia Southern guy and we had great BBQ there but you can't beat either of those 2 places.

Have a great trip and good luck in the game.
