Hotels and Flights for the NC

just got my tickets. Cost 25k airline miles roundtrip from PDX to DFW. coming wed, leaving Sunday. still waiting to hear on where the team is staying hotel wise.
 
My brother and I (also my cousin and his wife who are driving from Oklahoma City) will be staying at the Hyatt Place - At the Galleria in North Dallas. Looks like a nice place and the rate is awesome - 89 bucks a night for 2 beds double occupancy. This is going to be a long, long 3 weeks of waiting...

Booked at Candlewood Suites, about six miles from the stadium. Looks like it's starting to fill-up fast, get a spot ASAP!
 
Almost got a suite at Aloft, but I've got to wait a little to book. Looks like I'll be using the rental car a lot since my hotel's going to be farther away. I've got the airfare and the game tickets, though. That's the most important thing.

If you're going by way of website - yes, many are populating as full or no availability. I suggest you try calling the 888 or 800 numbers when you run into this scenario. I called Westin Stonebriar, Sheraton Stonebriar and Aloft just this morning and had the option to book at each of those spots. I'm sure they've got rooms blocked off, not only for teams (waiting on school counts) - but for their general travelling business clientele as well. I imagine some of those will open up as the week of the 3rd draws closer - but would expect them to fill fast with folks making last minute plans.
 
we're staying at the holiday inn express in North Plano, 6 miles from stadium..


FYI, the team is staying at the Westin @ frisco.

Hotels - Marriott, Courtyard Marriott, aloft Plano
Trendy looking area with several restaurants in walking distance. Furthest from the stadium @ 7 Miles. Probably the best looking sports bar in your immediate area is the Fox Sports Grill.

2) Stonebriar Center/Dr. Pepper Park - Baseball
Hotels - Hilton Garden, Embassy Suites (team hotel), Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites, aloft Frisco, Holiday Inn Frisco (not Express)
Not as walkable, though nearer to football stadium @ 4 or 5 miles. Watering holes include - 3rd Base Sports Bar (Hooters- ish), Irish Rover Pub

3) Pizza Hut Park
Hotel - Comfort Suites
You're there. Only 1 hotel. Watering holes include - The Londoner, Lochrann's Irish Pub
