I've been wondering how on earth Mac was able to sign a number of the incoming recruits. Barrington Collins, Connor Myers, James Washington, Christopher Thee and Ben Maraz (to name a few) should have all ended up at FBS schools, but instead they are coming to Ogden to play for the Wildcats. I've got a couple of theories, but I might be off on them, so if you know the story behind the recruit, please share it.
Barrington Collins I've heard is really good friends with Gelaun Wheelright, also, that he only played RB for one season (what a season) and that before he was primarily a WR before. If that is the case, those are two pretty good reasons why he is coming to Ogden.
Connor Myers could have been considered to be undersized for a DT, but I think Weber got a gem in him. There are going to be a lot of schools slapping their heads over not offering this kid. He is going to make an immediate impact on our DL.
James Washington I'm guessing the only way we got him was because of his untimely injury his junior year. I think its awesome (where is George now) that Weber got him over USU. That should be telling the Aggies how the WAC is being looked at. I'm really excited to watch James play. He is a quick, aggressive, and hard working DE. He will also make an immediate impact on the DL.
Next season is looking very promising. On a side note. Steven Carpenter...anyone heard of him. According to Scout and Rivals he committed to Weber as a WR in January. He is 6-1 190.
